Ladies Chess Club
This is a place for ladies ages 16+ to connect, play chess, and have fun! It runs alongside our girls chess club, and we hope to see grow over time. It is currently a small club made up of mostly beginner casual players and intended to be a social outlet. There is no coach or instruction. HRCA provides equipment every Thursday that the Girls Club meets, which is most weeks!

In the Beginner/Refresher Chess Resource below, we have some material from chess.com on board set up, basic play and rules, beginner tactics, and chess terms. We have included chess.com’s “cheatsheet” and associated YouTube videos where we can for visual resources.
